Poland: Jews targeted in 25% of racist crimes

The public prosecutor opened 835 racist crime files in 2013.  About 30% involved harassment on the internet, and another 30% were graffiti.

Jews were the most targeted group, with 199 cases, almost 25%.  There are about 3,000 Jews in Poland, making up 0.01% of the Polish population.

111 cases ended in conviction.  In about 300 cases, the perpetrators were not found, and another 100 were dropped as the prosecutor didn't deem them criminal offenses.
